application:
1. This product is used in the glass fiber processing industry. It is configured as a glass fiber soaking solution to treat the glass fiber, which can improve the compatibility between glass fiber and polymer, improve the dispersion, and thus increase the mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced composites.
2. This product is used in the artificial stone industry, which can improve the compatibility between various fillers and matrix resins, and improve the mechanical properties of stones. It is one of the indispensable additives in the artificial stone industry.
3. This product can improve the dry and wet mechanical properties of polyester matrix composites filled with fillers such as silica, glass, silicate and metal oxide.
4. This product improves the wet electrical properties of many inorganic mineral filled composites such as cross-linked ethylene and polyvinyl chloride.
5. This product can be copolymerized with vinyl acetate and acrylate or methacrylate monomers to make a wet curable silylated polymer. These silylated polymers are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants, providing excellent adhesion and weather resistance.
usage method
When this product is used as an additive, the addition amount of silane is generally 0.5-3.0% of the formula amount, and the most appropriate amount needs to be determined through experiments. This product is especially suitable for applications where the environmental humidity is high.
Like other silanes, this product can be configured into an aqueous solution with a concentration of 0.1-1.0%. When preparing the aqueous solution, it is recommended to use organic acids such as acetic acid to adjust the pH of pure water to 3.0-4.5, and then add silane to the acidified water with stirring, and continue stirring until the hydrolysis reaction is complete, forming a clear, transparent and homogeneous solution. Since the prepared silane aqueous solution is unstable and will gradually form silane oligomers, it is recommended that the prepared silane aqueous solution be used within 24 hours. If turbid precipitation occurs during storage, the performance of silane aqueous solution will be affected and cannot be used.
The surface of inorganic materials can be treated with silane aqueous solution by spraying, coating, impregnation, etc. Silane can also be directly mixed with filler under high shear without adding any solvent.
After the surface of the filler is treated with silane, it can be dried by natural air or for a short time at a temperature of 105 to 120 ℃ to complete the condensation of silanol groups on the surface and remove methanol and water. The best addition amount, use and drying conditions (such as time and temperature) for each application need to be obtained through experiments. This product will produce a small amount of low molecular alcohol in the reaction, so proper ventilation system should be considered for treatment in the production process.
Solubility:
This product is easy to hydrolyze and soluble in isopropanol, acetone, toluene, xylene, mineral oil and other organic solvents. Generally speaking, silane can be dissolved in many common organic solvents, but when using a specific solvent, the solubility and stability of silane in the solvent should be verified.
Volatile and effective components:
For silane, most methods to detect volatile and effective components by measuring the change of substance quality at the set temperature, such as gb/t 1725-2007, astm#d2369, etc., are not suitable
Used for the determination of silane. Because alkoxysilane has hydrolysis tendency in the detection process, some silane with high reaction activity is also hydrolyzed, accompanied by more other reaction tendencies. Once hydrolysis occurs, a large number of lower alcohols will be produced, which will affect the quality determination of low boiling point substances, making the test results seriously deviate from the actual situation. At present, gas or liquid chromatography is a relatively reliable method for the determination of volatile and effective organic silicon.

Acryloyloxy group can participate in the cross-linking and curing reaction of thermosetting resins such as unsaturated resins, and the fibers, metal surfaces and fillers can obtain excellent hydrophobicity after being modified by acyloxy silane.
Alkoxy reactivity:
Silane containing alkoxy group has typical chemical properties of alkoxy group. Alkoxysilane is prone to hydrolysis in aqueous environment to produce silanol structure. Theoretically, the structure of silanol is prone to self condensation polymerization and has poor stability. However, silanol diluted to a certain concentration can have appropriate stability in polar solvents such as water or alcohol, and its stability is better in weak acidic systems.
The silanol structure can condense with hydroxyl groups on the surface of the substrate, and the remaining silanol bonds can condense with silanol bonds on other silane molecules or form hydrogen bonds. Through the combination of covalent bond and hydrogen bond, silane is attached to the surface of the substrate, thus playing the role of surface modification of the substrate. At the same time, other organic functional groups on silane molecules can also maintain the chemical activity of subsequent reactions.
Packaging and storage
This product is packed in 5L, 20L plastic barrels and 200L closed iron barrels. After this product is opened, dry nitrogen or other dry inert gases should be introduced into the container containing the remaining products to prevent gelation due to the intrusion of moisture in the air.
When the product is stored in the original unopened container under atmospheric pressure below 20 ℃, the shelf life of the product is 6 months from the date of production.
